Self-healing cementitious composites provide an alternative to labour-intensive and costly manual repairs. While a blend possesses inherent ability repair its own damage through autogenous healing, enhancement of the self-healing capacity can be obtained inclusion superabsorbent polymers (SAPs). The implementation such innovative materials within construction industry requires proper evaluation methods ensure safe environment for user. Over past few years, contact ultrasonic measurements have proven their potential in assessing progress. sensitivity waves elastic properties material under study allows direct link with regained mechanical performance. Additionally, non-destructive nature enables in-situ evaluations. However, coupling sensors leads certain variability results, as application is not identical between measurements.
